My 18-year training journey truly began in 2007, the year I rescued Bart, a gallant yet peculiar one-year-old Standard Poodle. He was quite the handful—every behavior challenge imaginable, he seemed to possess! Yet, through dedicated effort, a path marked by both challenges and achievements, Bart's transformation was nothing short of remarkable. He lived a long, active, fun, fulfilling life to the incredible age of 16, which is long for a Standard Poodle. It was his incredible progress that inspired me to pursue my CCTBS Certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist certification via The Animal Behavior Institute, and I am currently pursuing my CACTP (Certified Advanced Canine Training Professional) certification. Others couldn't help but notice Bart's amazing turnaround, and soon, I found myself being hired to help their own beloved pups. Even now, I think of Bart every single day, seeing a bit of him in the sweet eyes of every dog I work with.
